Avontuur – Dutch word for remarkable, exciting and challenge experience, or put simply, an Adventure. Our brand’s adventure began in Cape Town in 2016 where our founder was freelancing in craftsmanship community and helping local producers to excel in their endeavours.

Not long after, Avontuur was born. The marriage of quality individually sourced materials and well-thought out designs, reminiscing travel and personal adventures. 

When the Cape Town adventure was about to end, our founder came back to Amsterdam and brought all his memories and best experiences all captured in individual styles. 

The talented design and production team at Avontuur are free-spirits who thrive on living boldly and embracing the moment fully. Every new design project, every new sketch and production detail are all adventures on their own that are created for like-minded life-adventurers who thrive on impulse and excitement, and they love traveling and seeing new sights and experiencing new feelings.
